How does the step-by-step progression pathway work?

Our structured progression model spans the academic year and is divided into five distinct phases: 1. Advisory and Selection (First Term): Students engage in structured, one-on-one sessions with our placement advisors to evaluate career goals, academic strengths, and preferred geographic locations (UK, US, Canada, Europe, or Australia). A tailored shortlist of target universities is then agreed upon with both the student and their parents. 2. Document Preparation: Our team assists students in refining their personal statements, structures professional reference letters from academic faculty, and compiles certified transcripts from secondary schools and Westerfield. 3. Institutional Submission: The placement department directly executes the application submissions. This includes managing centralized application portals (such as UCAS for the United Kingdom, Common App for the United States) as well as direct institutional partner portals. 4. Offer Tracking & Acceptance Management: We monitor all pending applications, coordinate with university admissions boards, and manage conditional or unconditional offers. Once decisions are finalized, we guide the family through the formal acceptance process and deposit payments. 5. Pre-Visa Auditing: Before handing over to the visa desk, our team conducts a thorough pre-visa check, ensuring all academic and financial documentations align precisely with foreign immigration guidelines.

How does Westerfield support students with visa acquisition?

Through our exclusive partnership with MOD Education, we operate a dedicated compliance and visa processing division. Our in-house visa officers manage the documentation audit, financial proof vetting, biometric appointment scheduling, and final visa submissions. This extensive, hands-on support allows us to maintain a consistent ninety-nine percent visa progression success rate.

Are there merit-based scholarships available?

Yes. Westerfield College offers limited merit-based scholarships. These awards are reviewed and determined based on exceptional performance in the student’s final secondary school results and stellar scores in our Diagnostic Academic Audit.

Can a student with pending WAEC, NECO, or IGCSE results apply?

Yes. We accept applications based on mock results, predicted grades, or mid-year academic transcripts. A provisional admission offer may be issued, which will be finalized upon the presentation of the official statement of results meeting our entry thresholds.

Does the college conduct entrance audit?

Yes. Every applicant must sit for the Westerfield Diagnostic Academic Audit. Rather than acting as a standard pass-or-fail hurdle, this diagnostic assessment evaluates the student’s analytical skills, logical reasoning, and subject-specific competencies. This allows our academic faculty to identify and correct foundational learning gaps before formal lectures begin.

How does Westerfield transition students from local secondary systems to global universities?

Our curriculum goes beyond rote memorization to focus on cognitive stamina, analytical writing, critical thinking, and independent research. By bridging the intellectual gap between secondary school (such as WAEC or basic IGCSE curricula) and university-level coursework, we ensure our graduates transition with the academic maturity required to excel immediately in foreign institutions.

Do you provide boarding accommodation for students?

Yes. We provide executive residential boarding facilities at our Lagos and Abuja campuses. Our boarding houses feature: Steady power supply and high-speed internet connectivity. Fully air-conditioned living spaces with round-the-clock professional security and live-in house parents. Dedicated study lounges and recreational spaces designed to foster a balanced lifestyle.
